Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8, 1935 and died on August 16, 1977. Elvis was a singer, musician and actor. Elvis ‘the pelvis’ Presley was known by that because of the moves that he had by shaking his hips, so much so that they didn’t want to show him below the waist at one point on television. Oh how the times have changed. Elvis’ pelvis doesn’t seem to be given a second thought in today’s society.
Elvis definitely left his fingerprints all over the music scene. He’s influenced countless generations from the John Lennon to Bob Dylan and countless others. You can express your values in so many ways, through music, through art and writing and just showing other people that you come into contact with common decency. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and that is a hard core value that you can pass onto others. It takes time and practice to instill these values into others and doesn’t cost a dime to do it.
You aren’t your clothes, your job, your clothing, how much money you have in your bank or how little. You are what you show people and if you show people that you’re ugly by being belligerent or thoughtless that comes through. If you give people respect, you will get respect in return. Talk to others how you want them to talk to you because otherwise if you’re yelling, everyone is bound to have a breaking point or will just disconnect from you.
I love honesty and I’ve found that being honest in life is just so much easier than telling lies. Lies have a way of coming back and haunting you. It isn’t always easy telling someone the truth but it’s better in the long run in the grand scheme of things. So truth is like the sun or is it lies because you can only hide the truth for so long before the lie is exposed.
