I think at times it could be appropriate to have a little fantasy in life and to have an imagination that takes you away from places that can hurt you but you can’t stay in that world. There is a time and place to be able to escape there. One can do that with their artwork, their writing and when they’re trying to come up with concepts. Stretch your imagination, let it wander out and see where it takes you but don’t forget the real world.

It isn’t always easy to find someone that fawns the flames of your inspiration and allows you to go there and is behind you in your endeavors. It is important that you do the same for them so that they know how important it is that they allow you to let your imagination come out to play. Not everyone is encouraging and that is how imagination can die. Be supportive of one another, try to be because you never know what can come out of a little bit of encouragement.

I believe that you don’t have to map out everything for the reader, some things one should leave to the imagination unless you’re trying to recollect something that happened and don’t want anything about it to change. There’s a balance when it comes to what you want people to use their own imagination and trying to make them feel something or giving them an accurate account of events. All are important and it really depends on what you’re writing and how you’re writing as to what you choose to give to your audience. With some authors they left little to the imagination and wanted to paint that picture for you but others give you some tools and a little bit of freedom to be able to choose things for yourself.
