Frank Sinatra – Merry little Christmas

Guess you could say that if I have to listen to Christmas music I have always enjoyed Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra’s old Christmas Carols. Who do you like for Christmas Carols?

I think the greatest ambition in life is to pass on what others want to know. – Frank Sinatra

I try to do this every chance I get in my life. I have had a lot of experiences and am familiar with others and I like to be helpful so when someone asks about how I liked this or that, or where I got this or how I made it through that I let them know. It’s also a great way to meet people is by striking up a conversation with them about something you think they might know something about.

Don’t hide your scars. They make you who you are. – Frank Sinatra

I totally agree with this which is why I am so open about the trauma and tragedies I’ve lived through and usually am quite comfortable discussing how I handled whatever it is. I’m not saying I’m an expert by any means but I have read a lot of books about trauma, grief and handling some of those awful things I went through and of course the years of therapy, mindfulness and support groups…. you kind of pick up on a thing or two after awhile. I’d rather have someone learn something from my experiences so they can avoid the same thing in their lives than have others go through the pain I felt. I don’t believe that everyone can handle some of those things and come through to the other side but I am still crawling through.

Take a deep breath, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again. – Frank Sinatra

Old Blue Eyes definitely had words of wisdom. This is key in life is learning to do these things remember to breathe, pick yourself up, shake off the dust and start over. Those are so key that it’s the fundamentals of mindfulness. The answers I think have always been there and they’ve been said in many ways and by many people but people really need to stop and actually listen and do it, you’ll see that these things do work if you let them. You have to practice, you have to do them, that’s how it works.
