David Michael Letterman was born April 12, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana. David is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer. He hosted late night television talk shows for 33 years between Late Night and the Late Show with David Letterman. While I was living in New York City I was privileged enough to go to two tapings of The Late Show and have been a fan of David’s for many years.
Sometimes jokes come from a place where the truth speaks volumes and that’s how we grab the attention of the world is to give hard core facts mixed with something that makes one think. This is a great example because we are the immigrants that came to America and took over their land and wiped out entire tribes just so we could escape Europe and Asia and Africa… now they’re coming from everywhere but the truth of it is that We the People are the immigrants so why do we have to keep fighting over land and resources? Why do we really need to build a big wall to keep Mexican’s out? Ever think that maybe we should be helping our neighbor so maybe they don’t feel that they need to come here but help them be happy in their country?
Sometimes I feel that way at least in the morning when I’m trying to wake up. I fully admit that I’m not a morning person and I do love my coffee. There is something about the smell of it as it’s brewing that permeates the air and sends little feelers out to the sleepyheads in their beds.
As many of you could probably tell by now I’m not a huge fan of Donald Trump and it isn’t because he’s Republican, I just don’t feel he’s a good fit for President and yes I know somehow he is still our President. I don’t think many people are laughing this year with the pandemic, loss of jobs, the government dragging their feet to make any decisions about how they want to try to provide any kind of assistance to our country. I think unfortunately that the corona virus was mishandled, especially regarding what to do and how to help each other out. Now many are paying for it and we’re likely going to continue paying for it for awhile because the lack of organization and timing and bickering. I don’t think it helps that this had to happened during an election year and I think that both sides are using each other and not really listening to what the people want. If we’re really a democracy why can’t our government listen to the people, why don’t us as the people have more control in our government? Why does our government have to be in everything?
