Paul Frederic Simon was born on October 13, 1941. Paul is an American musician, singer, songwriter and actor. Best known for being part of the duo with Art Garfunkel as singer and primary songwriter. He was once married to Carrie Fisher and his third wife is also a singer I enjoy, Edie Brickell.
I was always amused by this video Paul Simon did with Chevy Chase being the primary singer and him doing the chorus. Probably my favorite song from his solo work.

I can understand the theme behind that depending on what I’m thinking about… you may have lovely thoughts about things that you’ve done in your lifetime but you may also ruminate over the things that you felt you were robbed of or failed at. I know I’ve done that at times (and still do at times) and it isn’t something that it is easy to stop doing. You have to be mindful of so you don’t get stuck in the abysmal soul suffering that we put ourselves through and try to turn your mind to possibilities. That’s what I’ve been trying to do and I’ve been doing that through mindfulness, therapy, my writing and just wanting and hoping for a better life because I feel I deserve it after all the shitshow I’ve been through.

Music is timeless as long as there are people to hear it, to discover it and to pass it along. Long after the artist passes and long after the time passes that it was popular as long as one loves and shares music will live on. For me I don’t think that everything is over when we die and my hope is there is one massive place where many who have passed are all sitting around and playing together.
