I believe that has been where my writing has stemmed from. I started writing when I was quite young and mostly kept it private in a diary or journal and then as I got older and started exploring things such as the internet I decided to be open about my life and not keep it to myself anymore. I found my voice and knew that there were many things I wanted to talk about and felt passionate about. Injustices, abuse, hidden things that are stigmatized that I want to bring to the forefront and put a bright spotlight on for everyone to see.

I’d like to think that I see my happiness sooner than I used to. As you get older you begin to appreciate the time we have more. Those little moments and I think when you’re away from your family and friends it’s that much more bittersweet. Sure it’s great when you had more time and did lots of things together but it makes the short periods feel more magical. I love the friends you can go without seeing or talking to and then call or see and pick up right where you left off.

Many people don’t think of me as being scared but I have known fear and known what it was to be truly afraid and with good reason. When one has been abused and faced trauma it leaves deep scars on ones soul which are everlasting. Not to say that you cannot work on those fears and learn how to incorporate these things to help your anxiety so you can be alone in pubic or be able to be alone anywhere. There is strength in being able to do this but it takes a lot of time, patience and work.
