James Earl Carter Jr. was born on October 1, 1924. Jimmy is an American politician, philanthropist, and former farmer who served as the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981 and married to Rosalyn Carter. He is also now the oldest living president and now the longest lived President surpassing George H.W. Bush.

I think it’s very commendable that Jimmy has made it the rest of his life efforts to fight for the rights of women. That is something I’ve made efforts for as well because I’ve gone through enough of my own trauma between the sexual assaults, domestic and narcissistic abuse I’ve been through I want to be able to pass my knowledge on for others. Women need to speak up against violence, the more open we are about what we have gone through. There’s so much stigma in this world and this is one thing that should never be hidden.

It is truly sad that this exists in our world but it does not surprise me at all. What is sad is that this has very likely been going on since who knows when and it is way beyond past time that this ends. We really need to make a change in our world. When will the world learn? This should not be justified not then, not now, not ever.

Women are not inferior to men, some men may be physically stronger but there is more to strength than that. We need to really learn what equality is and what it means and pass that knowledge everywhere. I hope or have hope that one day women will be treated more equally and those who still see things in black and white will also open their eyes and realize, it’s a skin tone, it’s sex and we’re all human and all created equal.
