Meat Loaf Once Said… he’d do Anything for Love but he Won’t do That

Michael Lee Aday aka Marvin Lee Aday aka Meat Loaf was born on September 27, 1947. Meat Loaf, is an American singer and actor. He’s been in two movies that I very much enjoy, Rocky Horror Picture Show and my favorite role I’ve seen him play was when he played Robert “Bob” Paulson in Fight Club with Edward Norton, Helena Bonham Carter and Brad Pitt.

Rock n’ Roll came from the slaves singing gospel in the fields. Their lives were hell and they used music to lift out of it, to take them away. That’s what rock n’ roll should do take you to a better place. – Meat Loaf

For me rock & roll has always been able to take me to a better place. I have from the time I was very young listened to records and albums and the radio which is now more-so mp3’s, YouTube videos and still radio. Music has helped me get through a lot of difficult times in my life and I suspect because I do relate to the words but I also relate to the beating of the drum, the guitar riffs, bass line and piano and other instruments used. I do love music and always will.

‘Hell in a handbasket’ is not dealing with the political nature of the country. It’s dealing with the humanity and the compassion of the world. – Meat Loaf

I think what Meat Loaf was trying to say is that politics or too much politics has made this world go to hell in a handbasket and as a libertarian I would have to agree. There’s way too much government involvement in our lives and has been for many years. I’m not saying that we don’t need any government but we don’t need to have them control as much as they do. We the people, doesn’t so much seem like it’s really we it’s more so the elected officials and the way that our system is set up it isn’t so much as we elected them as a smaller group. We need to have more compassion and humanity in our world and to be more compassionate towards one another.

Things Meat Loaf would do for love. Anything. That.

It’s always kind of amused me this meme and probably how it came to be. What exactly does Meat Loaf say he will do… anything for love so what is That? I’ve done plenty of things for what I thought was love and have at times lived to regret those decisions. And before anyone starts barking about that, I don’t regret getting married either time. What I do regret is getting together with Mr. Holt and I don’t believe I’ll ever stop. That robbed me of my little loves, Luna and Dexter. So I definitely think long and hard about what I would and would not do. I would never put one of what I considered to be my babies through what I experienced again and I won’t put up with anyone who does that. Yes, I’m still working through the domestic violence and narcissistic abuse he put me through and you know what? That’s gonna take time. I have learned a lot about myself so far in this process. Gut instincts are important to follow and whenever a cat hates someone listen to it. Just saying. Dogs too. If a dog or any animal reacts badly, there is something inert about that. Also just do make it clear, I do not believe I EVER loved him. He was someone I had considered a close friend but never again.
