Jim Croce Once Said… if I Could Save Time in a Bottle

James Joseph Croce was born on January 10, 1943 and died on September 20, 1973 in a plane crash on his way to a concert at Austin College. Jim was an American folk and rock singer-songwriter.

Nobody loves a fat girl, but oh how a fat girl can love. – Jim Croce

I picked this quote in particular because I think it’s quite brilliant. I think that when people see a fat person that they get disgusted and won’t even bother giving them a chance. I have been up and down on the scale and not happy with my weight but I do try to eat healthier. My take away is that a fat girl does know how to love because it’s very likely we have lived with ridicule by bullies or by ignorant people that just want a laugh.

If I could save time in a bottle. THe first thing that I’d like to do. Is save every day. Till eternity passes away. Just to spend them with you. – Time in a Bottle – Jim Croce

I think we all think about times we’d like to save to go back to experience again. Many people want or wish for that which is why we take photographs, we write stories, we paint, we make movies so we can capture moments in time. Those precious moments we all hold dear and sometimes I feel that is part of my responsibility as an artist.

After all, it’s what we’ve done that makes us what we are. – Jim Croce

You are more than what your job, more than what you own, who you’re related to. We are what we do, what we say, how we are with one another which is why we need to be mindful of one another and be kind. Kindness is key to receiving more kindness and tends to spread. We want kindness to spread.
