Dustin Lee Hoffman was born on August 8, 1937. Dustin is an American actor and filmmaker that has been in many movies I’ve enjoyed through the years from Marathon Man to Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp and Stranger than Fiction with Emma Thompson.

Only you can make your life what you want of it. It’s your choices, your path that you decide to follow. Choose wisely, learn as much as you can and keep trying to learn from everyone and everything. That is key in life is never stop learning and seeking what you want. It is how you will set yourself on the path to getting the things that you want. To keep trying and doing.

These are words that I too despise the woulda, coulda, shoulda because those are words that second guess things you’ve done. You cannot go back and undo things done. May you make choices and hopefully wise ones but we need to stop looking back at alternatives and what would have been, what could have been, what should have been because it does us no good to do so. Everything failure and win we learn from, everything we see, do, hear, taste, touch smell and experience gives us more to go on in life. Who we are today is from not just the good we’ve done or cherry picked choices, it’s everything. We are best to figure that out sooner than later in life so we can stop looking back there expecting to change anything. We can look back but learn from it don’t dwell on it and don’t give someone shit for what they have done, show them what they could do now. Reprimanding them for bad choices tends not to go in ones favor but against it.

It’s fame that makes one immortal but not everyone wants to be immortal. I believe that’s what Dustin was trying to state here is that when he achieved becoming a star, being known and recognized it’s a new beginning of your life and people will forever pass along stories of books, movies, concerts, shows, etc so you never really die. Your life moves on.
