If you can’t be in awe of Mother Nature, there’s something wrong with you. – Alex Trebek

This may be a bit flawed for those who cannot see nature. Perhaps I say that because I am an artist. I appreciate and am in awe of nature which is why I love sunsets, sunrises, stars, and the moon. I also enjoy flowers, trees, other plants, animals and lakes, rivers, streams, oceans and seas. There really is so much of nature to be in awe of and our planet and how it changes due to nature, weather and time.

It’s very important in life to know when to shut up. You should not be afraid of silence. – Alex Trebek

While Alex could have said this is a nicer way sometimes being direct isn’t a bad thing. It is an important lesson for people to learn is when to listen, when not to continue speaking and to enjoy the silence. I believe that when one can sit in silence and try to clear their brain from the repeated songs on play, conversations you’ve had and the way that we replay things that have happened to change the outcome…if we learn to just concentrate on the quiet and calm we can become better at meditation. We can be mindful and that can open our eyes and minds to better things.

Have you ever met a successful person who wasn’t restless- who was satisfied with where he or she was in life? They want new challenges. They want to get up and go…and that’s one of the reasons they’re successful. – Alex Trebek

This is very true on many levels. I’m not saying that successful people don’t ever take a break or have lazy days but the key to success is to keep trying, keep learning and keep doing. The more you do, learn and try the more possible success you will have. This is one of the reasons I write every single day is so I will improve and hone my talents and consistency and success go hand in hand. One must be consistent with their efforts to become better. One must keep doing, keep trying, keep learning, keep going with whatever it is that you are doing and try new things, just do more.

Alex Trebek was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer in March 2019 and as of July 16, 2020 he has survived one year of chemotherapy and states that he feels the treatments are paying off. He may be tired but he continues his fight.
