Brian May Once Said…

Brian Harold May was born on July 19, 1947. Brian is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and astrophysicist and best known for being lead guitarist and founding members of Queen.

Astronomy’s much more fun when you’re not an astronomer. – Brian May

One of the more interesting things I learned about Brian May of Queen is an Associate Royal College of Science (ARCS) and holds a PhD in astrophysics where he is a distinguished alumni.I love that he pursued and got his PhD for astrophysics I believe his passion is with being apart of Queen and being a musician, songwriter and guitar player.

Queen songs are not about the life of a rock star – they tend to be about the lives of normal people, which is why I think the songs connect so much. We’re very lucky that they seemingly connect with every generation. – Brian May

I totally agree even though I grew up as many of Queen’s songs were being released and as they gained popularity. I’m happy to say I loved them from the beginning and love them still. I also love passing my love of their music along to others like my honorary niece and nephew.

Adam is beautifully confident, but he’s never arrogant. He’s always respectful. He’s always looking for the right way to do things. He brings himself to it, that’s all I can say. He’s not an imitator. He doesn’t need to pretend to be Freddie, in any sense whatsoever. I don’t know if it’s a marriage, but it’s a very good affair. – Brian May regarding Adam Lambert

One thing I would’ve loved is to have seen Queen with Freddie Mercury in concert and was glad that I was watching Live AID and very much enjoyed their performance. So if I ever do get a chance to see Queen I still would. I was watching a documentary on Queen and they introduced Adam Lambert who has joined and tours with them. It would most definitely be a concert worth seeing.
