Neil Patrick Harris Once Said… it’s going to be legen…wait for it….dary

Neil Patrick Harris was born on June 15, 1973. Neil is an American actor, comedian, filmmaker, philanthropist, magician, and singer. Some may know Neil from when he had the starring role in Doogie Howser and I do but one of my favorite characters that Neil played was of Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother.

Sometimes you can have the smallest role in the smallest production and still have a big impact. – Neil Patrick Harris

I would have to agree with this because there are many people that influence other people and not all of them are widely known. I know that I try to influence people by my writing or my photography and often have felt it’s just a chicken scratch on what I could make myself into but everyone has to start somewhere. That’s why there are no small roles, one should treat the small part as if the world was watching. Be kind, be good and do your best so when you do get noticed the bad shit won’t come back to bite you in the ass.

Parents need to be more accepting of who their kids are and less concerned about what society thinks they need to be. – Neil Patrick Harris

I believe some or most parents have good intentions as they are raising their children or at least they think that they do but I do believe that many get caught up in what they think society thinks they should be like. We are not sheep, we don’t need to be like you, we want to be ourselves and we just want you to support us in our dreams. Who cares really what the neighbors, or town, your co-workers think… if your child is a decent human being that treats people well does it matter if they’re gay? or dating someone that isn’t the same skin tone as they are? or isn’t the same religion? or decides to be a writer? or wants to be a magician? or wants to play music? or wants to be an artist? or identifies themselves as a different gender? We’re human and we should treat each other as humans and not sheeple and be more tolerant of each other and not so focused on that person is fat or poor or gay or is mentally ill. Equality and morality go hand in hand and should be the most important values we teach others. Kindness and encouragement go a long way.

I often feel like books find us for reasons, and we read them when we need them most. – Neil Patrick Harris

I’m a firm believer that things happen for a reason, in that we meet someone at a particular time for them to teach us something. I think we are introduced to books or movies, music or art exactly when they’re to influence us or impact us. As a writer, I believe the reader will read this exactly when they’re supposed to and if it impacts them they’ll share it and or pass it on so others can see and then more and more and that’s how you gain notoriety.
