Johnny Depp Once Said…

John Christopher Depp II was born on June 9, 1963. Johnny Depp is an American actor, producer, and musician. He’s also one of the sexiest men alive and was probably more than once awarded that. Aside from his good looks he’s a very talented actor of which I’ve enjoyed very much from playing Jack Sparrow, J.M. Barrie, Ichabod Crane, Grindlewald and John Dillinger just to name a few.

You can close your eyes to the things you don’t want to see, but you can’t close your heart to things you don’t want to feel. – Johnny Depp

I’ve selected this quote first for I agree that one is able to close your eyes to not see something but I’ve found it near impossible to close ones heart to prevent one from feeling. While it would be nice if we had more control over our feelings because they can often get in the way of life. Wouldn’t it be nice to shut off your feelings while you’re at work so that if someone says something or does something to piss you off than it won’t affect you and you (if prone to it) wouldn’t react outwardly to it or internalize it and have it eat at you. Maybe that would be more of a key to things is if one could figure out how to do that but how would that affect other things. That’s what one must consider…. what would it change?

People cry not because they’re weak. It’s because they’ve been strong for too long. – Johnny Depp

If anyone has had first hand experience with crying and feeling like it was a sign of weakness because that’s what we’re taught from an early age is that we should control our feelings. I have learned in my lifetime that crying is a way to help you release feelings one has had for a long time. Now I still have a strong distaste for crying and often will still fight myself from doing so but I have learned that it can have benefits.

One day the people that didn’t believe in you will tell everyone how they met you. – Johnny Depp

Interesting statement from Johnny but I suppose it is quite true when one gains fame or celebrity status then those that ignored you, hated you or barely heard of you will figure a way of telling someone how they met you or where they seen you. I have many thoughts on celebrity status and or fame and how that or money has gotten people out of sticky situations and I tend to disagree with the ability to do that. In the eyes of the law I believe we should be treated equal. So people would learn that there are consequences for being assholes by looting, raping, murdering, whatever it is that you’re doing that breaks the law. I’m not saying some laws shouldn’t be in place and it seems that some of those strange laws come into play for unlucky people. I say unlucky but I lump that in with unprivileged, poor, depending on your race and just pure laziness of the justice system when it comes to investigating and follow through to crimes.

There’s so much wrong that needs to be fixed but seems that little to nothing is being done to change that and that’s why history tends to repeat itself. What can do you? You can try and I can try and we can group or band together and look at the laws and see what should be abolished, what should be changed and make this fucking world a better place but then we also have to have bad politicians, bad lawmakers, bad lawyers, bad law professionals held accountable for their actions and get good people put into place so that life would be more fair, more equal and justified for all.

Isolation – Johnny Depp / Jeff Beck

Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck covered this 1970 song from John Lennon called “Isolation” which was John’s first solo album release outside of the Beatles called John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band.
