Prince Rogers Nelson was born on June 7, 1958 and died on April 21, 2016. Prince was an American singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, dancer, actor, and filmmaker.
I’ve always been a fan of Prince from the time I was in elementary school on. I remember listening to the 1999 album in my cousin Heather’s room. I don’t know if I give her credit for getting me into Prince because music has always meant a lot to me all my life. It was like the constant babysitter and counselor that I’d play to make myself feel better. One of my first albums was Purple Rain and I remember putting up the poster that came inside on my wall. I thank Prince for getting me into the color purple. Before that I’m really not sure if I had a favorite color but I do remember when my Dad asked me what I wanted to paint my bedroom I picked this dark purple and he obliged me in my choice. Years later I would choose another shade of purple for the room I stayed in with my cousin Joel. I do love all colors but I’m most attracted to purples.
This first quote from Prince regarding the world is very prophetic, especially with the CO-Vid19 pandemic. We do not need to add to the chaos of this world but I can see that it is happening and some of it is understandable but we should band together and not riot in the streets and loot stores. I am up in arms about the police officer killing that man and it’s not just black lives that matter, not all police are evil, not all first responders or priests but there are some bad eggs. What happened should never have happened but that’s what happens when things get overlooked and things get a bit out of control. What do you think is going to happen if it escalates? More fires? More looting? Ask yourselves if we really need that today or any day.
I would have to agree with the second quote I picked from Prince that every day is a blessing, a new beginning and beautiful. If you start your day thinking today is going to be better or look on the bright side of things, little by little you’ll notice your point of view on things won’t be so dark. So find the beautiful things, blessings and new beginnings.
How true but I have a real hard time believing that this is heaven. Sure one can make heaven on earth and can see the beauty but I think that we’re put on earth to learn and grow and then we move on to something new and different. It may seem out there but I believe in the afterlife and that our spirit continues onto a different plane or maybe if we have unresolved business we might linger here awhile to figure things out. But Prince is right the Earth is already in space. I’d challenge the naysayers who believe we’re the only planet in the universe with living beings. We’re not. I don’t have proof but I have a gut feeling.
