Ralph Waldo Emerson Once Said…

Ralph Waldo Emerson was born on May 25, 1803 and died on April 27, 1882. Ralph was an American essayist, lecturer, philosopher, and poet.

The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ralph sure had a way with words and the quotes I picked from him for today are perfect examples of just that. He was definitely philosophical and poetic. I believe that there is something to be said for deciding to follow your dreams and being who you desire to be because it is more of what is destined. When you do what you love you will be much happier thus fulfilling your destiny.

What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside you. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

We are not who we were or what is in our past and sure those things shape who you are but what is ultimately true is what is inside you. The part of you that is special and unique waiting to be discovered and waiting to come out is your destiny.

He who is not everyday conquering some fear is not learned the secret of life. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is a very profound quote about fear and life and how when you’re conquering fear that is the secret of life. We all have fears and we all go through things that are difficult and I think when we figure out how to make those things part of your daily life one can learn to live better. That may be the secret to life when you conquer your fears. I used to be afraid of dying but as I’ve gotten older I realize that it isn’t the end, it’s just a new beginning. A new chapter, a new adventure…at least that’s what I believe.
