If you’re waiting for someone to believe in you, you’ll be waiting forever. You must believe in yourself. – Cher

Happy 74th birthday Cher! Thank you for being an inspiration for women. You’ve shown strength and perseverance and paved the way for many other women. Yes you first must believe in yourself because you are the only person you’ll be around all your life and it will make things easier for others to believe in you. You will have more confidence in what you do, say, write, etc if you believe in yourself.

Women have to harness their power – it’s absolutely true. It’s just learning not to take the first no. And if you can’t go straight ahead, you can go around the corner. – Cher

Here’s another quote about women empowering themselves and part of it is believing in yourself and you will feel more powerful and then you have to learn to use that power to allow others to see what you can do. She states not to take no for an answer and when you get a no to keep moving on and keep trying until you reach someone. Sometimes the direction you need to go isn’t a straight path, sometimes there are many turns and sometimes it’s just around the corner.

All of us invent ourselves. Some of us just have more imagination than others. – Cher

It is very true, we are our own inventors. The way we put on our makeup or don’t put on makeup, the way we style our hair or cut or color it, what we wear, how we walk, talk etc… every little thing we choose to show the world is our own creation and sometimes it’s nice to stand out and be seen, be unique and sometimes it’s nice to blend in. It’s all a matter of perspective and what you want to convey. So choose wisely everyday.
