Michael Trent Reznor was born on May 17, 1965. Trent is an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and film score composer and best known for being principle person in the band Nine Inch Nails.

These are rules I live by and tend to do on a regular basis. I say what I mean and mean what I say but everyone makes mistakes in their life and sometimes we say things before thinking or can’t form exactly what it is that we want to say. Anxiety can get in the way of forming or expressing yourself. I have found being frightened about saying things that I may regret but I also have the strong desire of wanting to be heard and often don’t feel I am which is part of the reason I write.

I often find that I have songs playing in my head and wonder why or how they just pop into my head at certain times. I find that I use the songs to help self soothe me and that it helps me make sense of the world and whatever it is that I’m going through. I also wonder just how many people just doing whatever it is that you’re doing have a song playing in their heads at any given point. I think it’s because I’ve always used music to help me that is why the songs play.

At first I thought that he was referencing his song Piggy with the “nothing can stop me now” part of the quote but I think perhaps this was a quote of him talking about what he thinks is going to happen when he dies. I love the imagery of this and feel this is possible and there’s so much that is possible. I like Trent’s idea of what will happen, becoming part of the sky and sea and that he’ll be going home. I think it’s very beautiful.
