Ashley Judd Once Said…

Ashley Judd was born Ashley Tyler Ciminella on April 19, 1968. Ashley is an American actress and a political activist.

I am not as nasty as racism, fraud, conflict of interest, homophobia, sexual assault, trans-phobia, white supremacy, misogyny, ignorance, white privilege… your daughter being your favorite sex symbol, like your wet dreams infused with your own genes. Yeah, I’m a nasty woman – a loud, vulgar, proud woman. – Ashley Judd

I picked Ashley, this Kentucky raised strong woman because today is her birthday and she is an outspoken feminist that I’ve admired through the years. This is one of the most iconic quotes that I’ve heard from her talking about being a woman and what it is to be a feminist. I’d like to think I’m a nasty woman too, I’m outspoken, stubborn but I have more recently forgotten my voice but I’m starting to get it back little by little.
